Greetings from glenloates.com
Living with an artist all my life has taken me on many adventures, but nothing like this!
My father, Glen Loates, is a renowned self-taught Canadain wildlife artist. He started his carrier at the age of eleven by designing the yellow daffodil for the Canadian Cancer Society. His career was at its peak when he visited Ronald Reagan, who was president of the United States at the time. My father presented him with a life-size painting he did of the American Bald Eagle. It was a gesture of friendship between the two countries and to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of this bird of prey as America's symbol. https://glenloates.com/pages/a-presidential-meeting
Later his carrier took him 1 1/2 miles down off the coast of Bermuda to search for the Giant Squid with a team of renowned scientists and National Geographic. He painted the oceans, mysterious creatures, from a small porthole in the submersible that was used for the expedition. https://glenloates.com/pages/my-historic-deep-sea-dive
Later, due to an accident, he was unable to create for quite some time. Years passed, I grew up, got married, and started my fulltime carrier in the subsurface laser engraving business.
One day I took it upon myself to start a Shopify store that offers my father's work. Times had changed from when he was in business. Dropshipping and print on demand is a real game-changer. He is now able to offer products that he has never sold before, and no warehousing is necessary.
He is so happy that he now can offer his work to the world again. The store gave him new opportunities and has now taken me on an adventure of a lifetime, honoring my father's work and being able to share it with the world. My only real challenge is navigating the online landscape in order to figure out how to market to an everchanging world we call social media.
Thank you so much for your time. If you want to check out what we have in-store, we would love to see you soon. Visit www.glenloates.com
