Hi. Here at DoodleCraft Design we create Cross stitch and Blackwork kits. We have been trading since 2015 and we sell through our website www.doodlecraftdesign.co.uk, on Etsy, through he Hochanda Craft TV chanel and through UK Stitching Shows, we ship our kits all over the world. We are also building a wholesale offering and have a small number of wholesale customers.
All our kits come as Full Kits, which includes everything you need to complete the design, or Chart Only kits which just provides the chart and instructions for those people we know have stashes of fabric and threads already.
I also design for magazines and have been featured in The World of Cross stitching and the online magazine XStitch Magazine.
We specialise in 'Stitch your own' Gamesboards and the range features well known games such as Chess, Backgammon, Snakes & Ladders, Dragons & Beanstalks (our version of Snakes & Ladders!), Ludo and Cribbage, we also have some not so well known games such as Hnefatafl, Fidchell and Uckers which have been requested by customers. Each year we choose a different theme and produce new designs for each of the boards.
We have a range we call 'Painting by Stitching' and this includes more traditional picture designs which have enough detail for them to look like paintings from a distance and a range we call 'Creating by Stitching' where the designs can be made into a usable item once completed, this range includes clocks, cards, coasters, bags and much more.
If , for whatever reason, you're not into stitching then all our designs are available printed onto fabric; 100% cotton for using in quilting projects and 100% cotton canvas for creating fabric games boards - much more robust than the cardboard versions and easier to pack away to store or take on holiday. Either of these printed fabrics can also be used for soft furnishings. If you don't see what you're looking for on the website just get in touch.
I also offer a commission service which we call 'Photo-2-Needle' and have completed over 65 commissions to date.
Before we were hit by the COVID lockdown we had converted some outbuildings into a studio workshop, with the added ability to run small groups of short residential courses. Unfortunately I don't think this will be possible this year but hopefully we can get it off the ground in 2021.
